So the other day, our dryer stopped working. It’s not an old dryer, probably five years old. It would turn on. However, the drum would spin. The drum is the part that spins to dry the clothes. So glad we live in a time of videos and to be able to search for stuff immediately. I researched how to fix a dryer and found multiple videos. Then I started to take the dryer apart, trying to find the problem and then I saw it, a damaged belt. The belt went around the motor and moved the drum. So I replaced it and put the dryer back together. I thought I had fixed the problem, only thing is the dryer still didn’t work.
This experience makes me realize two things. One is to be proud of what you have accomplished. I am glad I could figure out how to take apart the dryer and replace the belt. The second is that it’s ok to get help when you can’t solve a problem. I’m not an expert at dryers. That why we have someone come in to look at it. This way, an expert can come in and find the problem more efficiently and fix it.
Remember, you can’t solve all the problems you have on your own. It’s ok to go as far as you can, get support when you need it.
