The other day my family, and I went for a walk at Walton wood trail. It was our first time there and we’re pleasantly surprised how wonderful it was. Before we went we were a little worried because we have never been there, and with the social distance still going on, we were not sure what to expect.
The weather was cool yet sunny a perfect day for a stroll. When we got there I was happy the trail was wide so people could be apart. It was also very clean and well maintained. On our walk, we saw so many animals, a fawn, a chipmunk, a cardinal, two deer, and other wildlife.
My wife enjoyed all the wildflowers. I even picked some to bring home so we could continue to enjoy them.
The other thing we enjoyed was finding all the little fairy houses and other little trinkets along the trail. I think we must have seen at least 10. They were creative and a joy to look at. My favorite was the small yellow bear hiding on the tree limb.
Overall, Walton Wood was a wonderful place. It reminds me that there is still a beautiful world out there. That is ok to go out and explore and see new things.
